Nicole,

Here are two that look good although I am sad to report that I don't have a daughter to cook with. (If anyone wants to drop a girl off at our house please do!). Don't forget to get her an apron too!

Amazon.com: New Junior Cookbook (Better Homes & Gardens Test Kitchen): Better Homes and Gardens: Books

and

Amazon.com: Chicken Soup for the Soul Kids in the Kitchen: Tasty Recipes and Fun Activities for Budding Chefs: Jack Canfield, Mark Victor Hansen, Chef Antonio Frontera: Books

I can't wait to hear what you pick and how it turns out!

Some Betty Crocker Cookbooks have higher ratings on Amazon than others. This one has very high ratings and makes me want it for myself!

Amazon.com: Betty Crocker's Picture Cookbook: Betty Crocker Editors: Books

(this isn't specifically for kids, sorry)

You could always make one, if you've got access to a sewing machine. That's one of the easiest projects you can do. Many years ago, when money was tight for us one Christmas, our 8-year-old daughter made her dad an apron for Christmas with only minimal assistance, and he still has and uses it today.
