The Laughing Cat in Ybor City (Tampa) - Best local Italian...their website is practically non-existant, but the food is awesome!

Mise en Place in Tampa - Modern American (whatever is fresh in season)

Columbia (the original one) in Ybor City (Tampa) - Spanish/Cuban

Vallartas (the original one) in Tampa - Authentic Mexican with some Tex/Amer dishes

Bern's Steakhouse in Tampa - Best steak, lobster, & organic vegetables, separate dessert room, too!

Nook 'n Cranny- Baileyville, ME (best onion soup I've ever eaten)
Chowder House - Eastport, ME (best on the deck while the whales are migrating)
Captain Nick's - Bangor, ME (they understand not over-cooking seafood)
Geddy's Pub - Bar Harbor, ME (a lot of fun, love the Bacon Blue burger)
