LOL, then you MUST buy Hershey's! The regular Hershey's bars taste like chocolate-flavored wax. Symphony bars and Pots of Gold are OK, though.
There probably is wax in them now, and it's probably carnauba wax. When I was little, my favorite was O Henry bars, then as I got older they didn't seem to taste so good, so I switched to another. Then in the course of doing some research into something else, I discovered that O Henry bars were no longer covered with chocolate, but a 'chocolate-flavored' cottonseed meal. Tasted like it, too.
But I'm NOTNOTNOT gonna give up Cadbury Easter Eggs, just because there might be milk in their chocolate!

EWWWWWWW! That is really disgusting! I do believe American companies put wax in their "chocolate." So, I buy Cadbury most of the time or Belgian chocolate for special occasions.
I'm afraid as a terrible chocolate snob it would be better if the warning read : "May not contain chocolate".... Cadbury's to me doesn't taste of chocolate at all !

There are some recipes for home made fancy chocolates that do call for a bit of wax, but it's parrafin, the same kind used to seal home made jams and jellies. But if I'm going to eat commercially made chocolate, I prefer the European kinds, with the exception of an occasional Three Musketeers. Not much they can do to ruin those - or if it was available here, I'd get Violet Crumbles, those are lovely.
I love Lindt chocolates. And Milka bars! Which I can't find here in the States (Milka). I was in the UK for several months, and never really cared for Cadbury.... But on the other hand, I think British Snickers bars taste much better than American ones. The chocolate is creamier. Maybe American Snickers are waxy as well & British ones aren't? Who knows!
