Since we love about 70 miles from any decent grocery store, the Schwann's truck stops by the community abt every two weeks. We have tried a few things and so far all are very good. somewhat pricey, but, when you factor in the fact that a round trip to the store is about 4 hours, and gas....makes it easy for us sometimes to have things on hand that donot require a lot of prep. We work around the ranch etc, and building the house...sometimes by the end of the day..who wants to cook.

I just want to sit down and have my scotch and soda and something quick.

Hw and SIH...happy trails,

My best friend lives on Schwanns. I spent a few months with her while I was house hunting. There were not a lot of things that I found all that appetizing. Their Parmesan Crusted Chicken is pretty good. And they have these 2 bite ice cream things that are to die for, raspberry ice cream with dark chocolate.......mmmmmmmmm.

I've looked at the catalog a few times. And twice I was going to place an order...but didn't.

The prices- that's what is keeping me from placing orders.

We ordered a few things-they were pretty bad, we ended up throwing them out. Ice cream was awesome, corn great-but meals were bad.

Some of the food looks good on their website, but I have read horror stories about the salesmen being pushy. I can't deal with that.

generally speaking their food is very un-healthy. I know they do have some healthy alternatives but I'm amazed at how much fat is in alot of their stuff. And I agree with the cost.

I never buy their meals, but their frozen broccoli and corn are great. They are crispy and does not taste frozen at all. Somewhat pricey, but so nice to always have broccoli and corn at hand. Their ice cream sandwiches are the best, the cookies are actually crunchy. I also like their french fries. They come out really nice and crispy out of oven.

Best: their ice cream
Worst: their prices

I can see your thinking Hunter Wold with the drive you would have to make. Around here I had to stop having them come because it just was way out of my budget for the ice cream we ordered.

How about when you are cooking to make extra and freeze that way you have a frozen meal for a lot less cost and lower sodium.
