My fridge, in the kitchen has the adjustable feet set up so it tilts back ever so slightly. The doors close slowly if you let go of them and they aren't wide open. Don't know if this would help with your problem.

Thanks. This might be the easiest solution. Do I find this velco strap at home depot I live in S.CA so I don't think moisture would be a problem

Went to Target yesterday and they didn't have anything that would work in the child safety dept.

I don't know about home depot but a sewing store like jo ann's or michaels should have velcro. Walmart might have it too.
