Franco-American canned spaghetti- possibly because it was one of the few foods that wasn't made from scratch.
Hood vanilla and chocolate ice cream in those little cups.
My elementary school cafeteria's chicken and dumplings.
There were certain quintessential "kid foods" of my childhood era (that mostly being the 1980s) that I hated, even as a kid. The top ones being fake "juices" (whether powdered like Kool-Aid or liquid like Hi-C), bologna sandwiches and other lunch meat, and Kraft Macaroni and Cheese. I also never liked hot dogs, though I will occasionally eat them as an adult (but usually only if they are all-beef, decent brand ones and I'm at a baseball game).
I guess a had a really crappy palate for a kid, though.
Franco American Spaggetti-os with burned hot dogs cut up in it
and grated cheese poured all over the top! yummy Makes me hungry just thinking about it.
My brother and I could eat this every day.
My mother gave us bread, butter and sugar sandwiches for a snack when we were little. This was in the 1950s.
Later, my other memories of things I ate for a snack, as a teenager, were American cheese with Miracle Whip sandwiches, and Marshmallow Fluff and peanut butter. All on Wonder Bread.
Grilled cheese and tomato soup were ever present also.
