I love Indian food. But the best Indian food I ever had was apparently Pakistani food at a restaurant in London...but it was delicious!
A lot is very similar - Pakistani dishes often have plenty of oil - practically a feature. Here we have both but the Pakistani restaurants almost always promote themselves as Indo-Pak.
I love most of the Indian food I've had - and I've had pretty much (but not as much as Alm). Here we mostly have northern Indian dishes but I do also love dishes from other regions. Yum love South Indian sambar with idly; Hyderabad dishes - so flavorful. I could go on but I'm starving Marvin and must find some grub right now!
I love Indian food, too. Going for lunch at our local Indian restaurant on Friday, in fact. We're lucky to have a very good Indian restaurant here. The chef is from the Punjab region and is very skilled.
I love mixed vegetable pakoras, naan, tikka masala, chicken makhani, paneer, sambar, tandoori chicken, chana masala. All wonderful! I'd very much like to try Indian food from other regions and hope to get the opportunity someday.
I like going to the local Indian restaurant with an Indian co-worker. He claims he's some kind of Brahmin so he treats all the workers like complete crud, and they seem to accept it. He says they are in a very low caste which means tradition dictates he mistreat them, otherwise, he would be disrespecting his forefathers. He even got me in on the act one time when a worker dropped a plate. I respect Indian culture. They have a deep sense of tradition and responsibility.

Ahh....the old caste system. I had two coworkers who's families were apparently from different caste which caused a bitter rivalry and caused one of them to be fired for harassment. U.S. HR doesn't understand caste
We love Indian food and just now had it from a realy nice take out place.
We had chicken curry that comes with naan, lentils, rice and Raita (yogurt dish)
Also had vegetable pakoras with that mint chutney that I love, and sweet carrots with cardamom, and sliced pistachios for dessert. Yum
I LOVE Indian food and was in culinary heaven during my 2010 tour of India. Seriously, as a proud carnivore, Indian is the only way that I could eat a vegetarian meal without wanting to throw up
Thank you for sharing. Love this. The little store where I got my spices closed recently. They were Burmese. A great gift. I have quite a few Indian cuisine cookbooks but can't seem to pull the trigger to try the recipes...wasn't a problem because we had an amazing Indian restaurant here... until it closed recently. Gosh I miss the owner!
Guess I will have to go for it. My favorite dish is Aloo Mater.

The spice collection allows you to cook quite a few Indian dishes, and the recipes on the website are provided in written and video formats. It's not long before you're able to mentally concoct your own recipes.
