I'm craving this right now, so I thought I'd start a thread.

My favorite are multigrain blueberry pancakes. Lots of butter. Real maple syrup, grade A. Cup of coffee to go with.

I'm basically a plain-jane kind of guy. I like basic buttermilk pancakes with maple syrup. Butter is optional. Coffee is not.

I kind of like pancakes as part of a whole breakfast. Sausage patties, wallowing in the syrup, are definitely a plus. Scrambled eggs, oh yes.

Actually, come to think of it, I'm pretty much into breakfast food, period. Any and all of it.

Man, this post reminds me that the other night I was going to make waffles & eggs for dinner, but found out that the Bisquik I bought had already been opened So we only had eggs and bacon. I want waffles and pancakes with syrup..

Ps. Coffee to go with it? No, it HAS to be orange juice!

Maybe it's because we're southern? Maple syrup is nasty IMO . Folks around here make cane syrup.

I love (that's putting it mildly) blueberry or chocolate chip pancakes with maple syrup. In a restaurant I'll put on the butter they give me, but I don't bother at home. I think breakfast food is the greatest food there is--pancakes, waffles, eggs, bacon--who needs dinner???

I grew up eating pancakes made from a recipe in my mom's old cookbook (c. 1946), and they are still my absolute favorite in the world. I like 'em best without any additions, though fresh-picked blueberries are wonderful, of course. If I use syrup, it's always the intensely-flavored Grade B maple from our favorite Farmers' Market vendor, but most often, I just slather them with butter and eat them that way. Mmmmmm.... think it's time for a pancake supper hereabouts again.

The spouse hates real maple syrup as well (he's weird, LOL), and prefers the fake Log Cabin stuff.

I like berry syrups ... And now I'm craving lingonberry syrup. Off to IKEA with me!
