I never heard of her until she became way overexposed. Seeing her goofy picture on the TV promo for her show, or on the ads for her cookware, doesn't make me want to pay attention to her, either.
Personally I cannot watch her. I do have some of her cookbooks but her chipperness doesn't bother me it's her loudness that gets on my nerves. She is like that Billy Mays in my ears.
I can't stand the woman, I've never liked her. I don't like her recipes, her chipper attitude, her poor grammar, you name it about her, and I don't like it. I'd rather gouge out my eyeballs with knitting needles than sit through one of her shows.

So, you're still on the fence about her......

Same here! Her head seems to fill up the screen and her body always looks small in comparison- always freaks me out!
She does have one massive forehead!
But what annoys me the most is how she has to pronounce everything the proper Italian way and she puts so much emphasis on it when she does it too. I know she was born there, but she doesn't have an Italian accent at all and she just sounds lame when she does it.
I despise Italian food so you can forget Giada de Laurentiis.
I call her show "Cooking With Cleavage" !
