Well I'm going to try "again" to make General Tso's Chicken for my dinner using a Sun Bird mix from a packet. DH doesn't like this so he is having roast beef with gravy, mashed potatoes, and corn. He has been requesting sausage but I told him we have to get through the food that is in the refrigerator first.
Just came in from planting more flower pots. It got pretty warm out there....I'm not complaining though!
For dinner tonight, I'm baking in the oven, a Beef Brisket w/a package of Lipton onion soup over it. With it, Fried Polenta w/garlic and a some kind of veggie. Also, I have a can of biscuits that is getting close to it's expiration date, so I'll make them too and freeze the leftovers.
Anybody have any suggestions for turning bbq'd pulled pork leftovers into something other than sandwiches?
I never have leftovers because my gang eats everything in sight, but I've always wanted to try to turn bbq into a casserole adding beans, onions and peppers and then topping it with cornbread/polenta. Kind of like a shepherd's pie.
Feel better Nomad and woo hoo for rain. We still need an ark here though.
Last night I made Sesame Chicken with noodles and eggrolls. Tonight will be homade cheeseburger pizza.
I finished the nap I had started at 1 AM. Tummy still queasy. Sea sick kind of queasy....I think I go to the market and look around. No danger of over shopping for dinner like this. I may just push the cart for the exercise and come home. I see a pizza crust and a bag of cheese in the fridge. Still sounds like like a comfort food I can get down. I may get a small package of lean ground beef and be a copy cat of Mooks idea....
