DH requested some tuna in the macaroni salad--so it's a tuna Macaroni salad. I did it my tried and true way--to hot to try anything new today but thanks for the ideas and I will try them in the future because we all know pasta salads are big in the summer!!. Just added some hard boiled eggs, gerkins, sweet onion, seasoned salt and some celery (have to get the celery from the store in a bit).

We always put tuna in our mac salad along with diced celery, onion, and hard boiled eggs. Mix with mayo and lots of black pepper.

I make a ton of pasta salads Cyn.......one of my faves involves that fake crab stuff chopped up with some velveeta cubed, red onion chopped, cucumber diced, celery diced, mixed with Miracle Whip, lemon juice, and spicy mustard (it is the only think I use miracle whip for).

I also like a veggie pasta salad with tri color rotini, black olives, pepperoncinis, tomato, cucumber, green bell pepper, parmesan, (and if you want pepperoni or salami) tossed with an Italian dressing.

Dinner tonight.........not sure. It is cold and rainy here today!

Hi everyone! We are big pasta fans here too! I already did a mac salad last week. SIL likes Hellmans and we all prefer Miracle Whip. So, I separated some of it for him. He added tuna to his, I wasn't in the mood for that in mine.

Tonight, I am not sure yet. Still waiting to see what sparks me. Like the sound of a BLT salad, though. But I don't have the stuff, so that will have to wait until grocery day (whenever that is). I do have some hamburg out. Not quite sure what to do with it though. Tired of the same ole' stuff.

Today is day one of babysitting g'baby #1. Right now she is trying to fall asleep. Cranking a little. I am going off to rock her a bit. She seems uncomfortable.

Have a great day!!!

I didn't have a clue what's for dinner until I came here, but y'all gave me a great idea, Macaroni salad and Tuna! Fast and easy! Thanks!

I'm going to take a nap, I've been up since 5:40 AM. Son woke me up with a phone call (u know it's never good at that time) Someone broke into his car and stole his Sirius radio and my EZ Pass. However, he calls me back at 7, and tells me he found the EZPass thrown under the seat. I already reported it stolen. Never a dull moment!

Good night

Wait, I knew about MWBW but did I see Crazy's thread? Congrats to you both! Will have to look again at the party threads.

I'm ready for a macaroni salad taste test! All your recipes sounds gooood to me

Cyn, thanks for backing up Lacey on the cookbook rec - ya never know about that Lacey Kelsie's recipes sound VERY tempting - I suspect I'll break down and invest in that book eventually

Debsi, we do have jerk chicken fairly regularly but, although I've made my own rub/sauce before, usually I use a combo of sauce and paste from a restaurant we visit in DC. If not that, then I'd recommend Walkers Woods jerk paste in a jar. Also, for the plaintain, they need to be very ripe - mostly all black outside - and then I pan fry them in browned butter instead of deep frying them. HTH! It's an easy but delicious meal
