Hi all.

elston- Your get together sounds fantastic and I hope you all have a great time.

George- Your casino trips are like mine. I have only a certain amount I am willing to lose. My DH is the complete opposite. Thankfully he is very lucky, lol.

skbs- A pink bike is just what a little girl needs.

Lacey- Sending well wishes for Mr. L.

Kelsie- What time is dinner?

Cyn- Woo hoo on all the roses getting planted.

Amber- Thanks for the heads up on the crackers.

Nothing spectacular in Lisa's kitchen. London broil for my DH and I had Talapia again with beets and green beans. It was very colorful, lol. Tomorrow night I get something new. Woo hoo.

Have a great night.

Lisa, thank you for replying to everyone like that - I'm too tired to take notes and write a long post, and I really appreciate your doing it for me! To all my friends, re-read Lisa's post and pretend it's me saying it. Love to read all the posts, just don't have energy to answer them all tonight.

Variances aren't cooperating as I'd like them to, so it's been another long day today. Spending the entire morning preparing for, enduring, and following up after a meeting didn't help either. I can think of better times to hold a meeting than in the middle of financial statement work, but eh, them's the breaks, I guess.

My dear spouse knew just exactly what I'd want for supper at this point in a long week of balance sheet account reconciliations, so I came home to find him preparing steaks, noodles, mushroom/onion gravy and Brussels sprouts, with a lovely glass of pinot noir to accompany the meal. I am such a lucky, lucky gal, and a mighty contented one right about now, too.

Dishes await, and bed soon thereafter, so I'll bid you all good night. See you tomorrow-

Wow it is really late but took me awhile to read all the pages in my threads. Saved the best for last but didn't take notes either sorry.

Still having trouble with either my phone lines, this new computer or C-D so taking my old tower into get fixed tomorrow.

We worked outside in the yard picking up all the limbs and stuff from the yard we had 2 pickup loads full. Ready to start the mowing season here tomorrow still have the back row fence line to burn off yet. Have plenty of limbs that need a chainsaw on them again. Almost 5 acres to keep manicured is a lot of keep up with but not near anything like YLisa and Mike do that is for sure.

Had to go into our little town to fill up the mower cans so we ordered a pizza to pick up while we were in there for supper. No beer HG kids are still minors and I don't care for the taste.

Night all.

Went grocery shopping after I finished planting the roses yesterday and picked up some great deals on asparagus and brussel sprouts so I bought a bunch to freeze. That means today I will be working on those veggies!
Another restless night with some very strange dreams.....guess being super tired didn't help! At least they wern't as bad as the night before. Maybe tonight I can dream about all the beautiful roses soon to be blooming in my front yard!
The chicken turned out so good last night---love that recipe Lacey!! Thanks!!
Tonight we are having fresh shrimp----grilled if it isn't raining and cooked in the house if it does rain. Not sure of the side dishes yet but will post later once it's figured out!
I hope everyone has a wonderful Easter and enjoys their families, food and good times!! Doesn't look like we will be doing much here...DH is cooking up a spiral ham with sweet potatoes and fresh asparagus!

We just finished dinner here. Saltimbocca with rice and asparagus. Saltimbocca is veal with sage and prosciutto. Sage was from my garden. I love sage.

Jaxson- Glad to hear from you. I hope you get your computer fixed soon. Good luck. Sounds like you had a really bust day. Yard work can be killer on larger properties. I'm happy to have the cows on our big piece, lol. I have no idea how we are going to get the fallen trees off the side of the mountain, lol.

cyn- So sorry to hear about you rough nights. Maybe you should try a nice relaxing soak in the tub with a glass of wine right before bed. Light some candles and put some relaxing music on. Then invite the huuby in.

Nomad- Steak is always good.

Sounds delicious.

I finally finished the Talapia. Yay. Tonight I am either having a veggie burger or seafood salad. My DH is getting his favorite, pasta and sauce.

Have a great evening all--once I eat and shower I really think I will fall fast asleep. At least I hope so. Last night I kept having some very strange and scary dreams. I think/hope I am to tired for more of the same tonight!!
Yay for you, Cyn. I hope your roses are as prolific as ours are turning out to be. Those buggers are just a-bloomin' their little hearts out and they're so pretty. Best of luck.

So know it is time to regroup and rethink just how to eat not so much at home but for her being on the road so much of the time.
Glad to have been of help, Nomad.

Thanks for the warning, Amber. Say, does anyone remember Ritz used to have a recipe on the box for Mock Apple Pie. My mom made it once. She said it was awful, but I don't remember it. Anybody else try it?

Don't know what's on for dinner tonight. I'd like that roast beef rotisseried w/some grilled veggies. It depends on whether DH wants to do fish, being that it's GOod Friday.

Have a great weekend, all, and if I don't happen to see you the rest of the weekend, I hope you all have a great Easter/Passover weekend.

Hugs to you all.
