How do you feel about Cilantro? I think it is the only food that I absolutely dislike. It's presence completely over-rides the flavor of everything else.

There's a fine line between 'just right' and 'way too much', and the amount needed to get to the latter is smaller than most folks seem to think it is.

I love cilantro also! I know people that don't like, hate the smell of it, but I smell it and it makes my mouth water! I love putting it in homemade salsa! Ok, I am getting hungry now!!

Love cilantro. I find it interesting that the OP finds its flavor to be so strong. To me it is pretty subtle.

....And most cooks/chefs/restaurants use too much.
It's like curry. A little goes a long way.

A lady from our plant in Montreal came down and I took her to lunch. She ordered a main course salad and I asked her if she liked it. She said "It's really good but there's something in here I really don't like". Then she said it tasted like grass! Turns out it was cilantro. Personally I love the stuff, but it seems like it's a love/hate thing. Either you really like it or you really don't!
