hummus and rice cakes ??

seriously, is what you splurge on??

(now I have to go to the back of the line again)

Ice cream-dairy queen blizzards, I wish I could find a "study" that says you can eat a dairy queen blizzard every day and lose weight...

Also,,,rib eye steaks, or prime rib.... and/or 4 lobsters and a pound of butter

My eating is controlled easily 95 percent of the time. I'm a serious faster. Have been for almost 2 years.

When I fall off the wagon it could be for anything. I tend to be an emotional eater. So If I can't talk myself OUT of a 'WTF" mood (which I don't get often), I'll eat. I'm an overeater, too. So, while I don't "binge" i'll overeat/eat past full ....so over the course of a day/days....I'm eating when I know good and well I SHOULD have stopped long ago. I'll eat past ful,l go about my business, and eat an hour later.

That said -- I like comfort foods.

My latest foray off the wagon over the Xmas and New Year's weeks, I had:
- Pizza twice (whole pizzas over the course of the day)
- Two trips to California Tortilla (burrito only then the next week: veggie burrito, turkey chili, SW salad, chips & salsa)
- Chinese food eaten over three days (shrimp EFY, shrimp fried rice, two egg rolls)
- Cookies, chips, pretzels (two or three bags over the course of the day at work) on about 4 days over 2 weeks
- Stuffed grape leaves, tahini, humus, apples (cut into slices for dipping)
- Unsalted pecans and cashews
- Fruitcake and all kinds of other baked goods at a friend's Xmas dinner (also had too much mac and cheese which since I don't cook, I hardly ever eat.) But I also overate some of everything that was served. (Instead of just stopping...I'll slowly, take a break, and go back for more)

Pizza. Pasta!

I am watching carbs. Difficult to gorge on hard boiled eggs and celery.

If I eat out, it's a large Pepperoni Lover's Pizza from pizza hut.

If I cook it myself, it is a large ribeye steak and baked potato swimmimg with oleo, sour cream, cheddar cheese, bacon, and chives. Oh, I almost forgot the six pack of Budwieser.

What I normally eat (thankfully!): Oatmeal or whole grain bread and coffee for breakfast, homemade soup (or a Lean Cuisine meal) for lunch, apples and almonds for snacks, and yogurt, salmon (or some other fish) and vegetables for dinner.

What I fall off the wagon for: Cheetos, french fries dipped in ranch dressing, Haagen Daz ice cream (any flavor will do), hummus and crackers, dry salami on buttered toast, Little Debbie snack cakes, and any ice cream treat from DairyQueen.

Eating some hummus with your raw veggies = good.

Eating a container of hummus with starchy chips, rice cakes, etc. = not so good.
