There's nothing like movie theatre popcorn, with that hot oil... I mean melted butter (flavoring) added. It's a disgrace to spend $10 for $.25 worth of popcorn, but it's oh, so good!

We pack our own snacks & bottled water.

Those snacks are too expensive!

My favorite is hot buttered popcorn and snow caps. Now I'm too cheap to splurge on the snacks so we usually pack a snack bag and bring in water. Of course I'm also too cheap to buy a movie theater ticket. I can wait for a DVD to rent and have snacks and intermissions at home, lol.

Back when I didn't have to take out a loan to go to a movie, I loved popcorn, a big coke and Twizzlers or snocaps.

I never got people who bought hot dogs and nachos to eat at a movie. Too messy.

Now I am more inclined to watch a movie on dvd. That way no one is talking , kicking the back of my seat and I don't spend a fortune on the popcorn. Also I can watch the movie in my comfortable pjs.

I used to like a big pickle, but now I prefer nachos, unless they are prepackaged.

Actually, my nearest theatre has full kitchen with waitstaff, so I usually get the grilled hot dog with onion rings. It's excellent! They also have salads, pizza, sandwiches, entrees, desserts, full bar..

I so agree. I can't remember the last movie I saw in a theater. We recently upgraded our TV. Now with a large LCD TV with a good surround sound system? PJ's and a glass of wine for me! Whole family can watch a movie for less than the cost of 1 ticket to a movie theater. No sticky floors, tall people sitting in front of me or people talking or texting throughout the movie. If I need to use the restroom, there's a pause button. Perfect!

I have to admit, I rarely go to the theater myself. I get impatient with people talking and big heads in front of me. When I lived in Los Angeles, it costs $13 and you had to sit through 30 minutes (no joke) of commercials before the main feature started. Now I rent Netflix movies and watch them on my computer.

Snowcaps! Oh my gosh, they are so good. I really like the larger sized ones but the minis will do in a pinch. And a Coke. Perfect.

My husbands co-worker used to work in a movie theater and she told him to not eat the popcorn. Didn't say why, just some gross stuff going on there, I guess.

I also like to bring my own snacks. It's way too expensive to buy stuff at the theater.
