Kangaroo....not so much.
'Roo tastes like venison. If you don't care for venison, you probably will dislike 'roo as well. I didn't put kangaroo on my list because I didn't consider it weird or exotic. Same for natto and frogs' legs...they just didn't seem that weird to me. Tried 'em, they're okay. Nothing to write home about.

And don't any of you dare to mention noshing on dolphins of the mammal variety...or I'll haunt you...

I would try it (well, before I became a veggie I would have, oh well).

I've eaten a grasshopper and a worm. Neither tasted like shrimp. But, I did learn to mark vodka off the things I'm allowed to have list.

Balut is the anecdotal aphrodisiac in the Philippines. I've never had fresh durian, although I like the flavor in durian pastillas (durian flavored candy cooked in milk).

Weirdest Filipino food I've eaten is bone marrow cooked in a broth.

Yeah...I know I was kind of opening myself up for that one, lol...but considering my friends were male, it makes me wonder even more.

Balut doesn't taste bad. The problem with balut is getting past the feathers, beak, feet, et cetera. Other than that it tastes like a cross between a boiled egg and just what it is -- duck or chicken.
