I tried an Angus beef hot dog and it was great. I agree it is the quality of the hot dog. Oskar Meyer hot dogs always had an off taste to me.

I think they are called Smokies but it is a sausage that is hot dog size. Those are great.

The same reason they like Sausage, Pepperoni, Gyro Meat, Deli Meat..... it is all the same thing just shaped differently.... or has a little different seasoning in it.... for the most part.

When I was working back in Seattle, brats were on my breakfast menu. I'd fire 'em up in the microwave while I was getting dressed and have a quick, filling "Stick the ribs" breakfast in no time flat.

P.S. Bad hotdogs are /yawn. Good hotdogs are work paying for.

If all of us only tried stuff like Ballpark and Oscar Meyer, than yes, there would not be too many adult hot dog fans in this country. Fortunately, there are a lot of good brands out there. But, you're not going to get them for $0.99 a package at your supermarket. Quality costs money.

I like them. cheap and expensive. German, American, etc.

They're cheap. They're filling. They taste good. They can take tons of toppings. They're FAST when there's not a lot of time.
