I drink vitamin D milk with each and very meal as well as in between meals as a tasty snack! I am Korean/Irish and grew up in California (although I now reside in Hawaii). I am also 6 ft 2 which is a good 6 inches taller than my Irish father. I attribute this to consuming milk with every meal as a kid. I'm very extremely healthy and many people think I'm 10 years younger than my 38 years. Milk is the culprit! Quit hatin' on milk ya bunch of yuppies!

yup I do think its cultural- my ex is of Swedish- Irish- English (but his grandpa was an immigrant from Sweden) descent- milk with every meal- our teen grew up that way, and yea she's pretty tall.

I think milk drinking is a whole lot better than the cousins who swill soft drinks whenever they can with meals...

(but honestly I am ambivalent about the dairy industry... we had goats for awhile and it was cute to see my child milk the goat to have it with fresh baked brownies, lol)...

I am 5'4 and do not drink milk on a daily basis although I do have a splash of cream in my morning coffee. My mother was 4'10 and consumed milk at least twice a day. Hmmm...
Do what makes you happy and what you feel makes you healthy. Life is short, be happy!

I love milk, and drink when I feel like drinking it. Sometimes fresh, sometimes buttermilk. Not with meals, but like it to neutralise the overpowering sweet taste of desserts.

as a kid,we had this evil carnation stuff,,,mix with water and call it milk....like putting lipstick on a pig,,,,it was gross..

when I got my own place...I swilled about a 1/2 gallon of milk a day for a good year....and tons of hersheys syrup for chocolate milk.... I made up for lost time.... whole milk and steak was 90 % of my diet for a decade..

it seems odd to me that in nature when most all creatures are weened off mothers milk they rarely if ever get milk from any other sources ,,of course some animals will drink milk if it is available but get along perfectly well if they never have milk again though i doubt cows will drink milk in adulthood ... anyway my neighbor drinks more milk than water .. he is about to go into surgery to remove calcium deposits from his pancreas .. i have a vitamin D deficiency but i never drink milk ..

Calves, most mammals, stop producing lactase as they mature.

Those of us with Scandinavian roots typically have lactase persistence well into our elder years. My 76-year-old father still drinks milk like its going out of style. So does my husband. I like it well enough, but I don't drink in nearly the quantity that my family does.

Well, that's why I can drink milk with no problem. My wife says I've yet to grow up.
