Seafood. I've come to like mild white fish (halibut, etc.), but anything else is still gross.
And I don't get shellfish. They look like spiders that live in the sea. Why do you want to eat those? And the texture is like rubber.
Lol! You're the only other person besides my mother I've heard say this..
"Sea Spiders!! I'm not eating that!"
And this was a woman who would eat anything, from chicken feet to head cheese.
As a kid, I hated beef liver. Then as a young adult - I loved liver.
Now as a mature adult - I can't stand it. I think a lot and questioned why would someone want to eat an organ responsible for filtering the majority of the toxins out of the body.
When I think of liver eaters the first thing that comes to mind is ....Jeffrey Dahmer!
Forget the baked beans too.
wow, some people seem to have a lot of things they didn't like and still don't: other people just have a few: I guess I am in the last group:
I don't like okra (but am not sure I had it as a kid) I don't like Hamony, (spelling) and I don't like tongue. Oh, I have never liked Pimento Cheese and I know most people do like it.
Fried eggs , they give me the boak.
Whites of eggs.
Potted Head
Tripe
Pilchards or sardines and also all shellfish..
Choc ices
Mint ice cream
Any meat with fat or jelly...horrific
Cream of wheat. (That stuff always made me feel like I was going to puke!)
Cauliflower. (But I allow for the possibility that my wife, the greatest cook I have ever known, could find some way to make cauliflower taste good to me. She managed to do that with broccoli, which is why broccoli is not on this list!)
Fake syrup. (Log Cabin, Aunt Jemima, Mrs. Butterworth... this one's for y'all!)
Mushrooms. (However, I have been increasingly able to tolerate them in certain foods, such as spaghetti and cream of mushroom soup, as I age.)
Corned beef. (What in the heck is the point of this? It tastes like beef mixed with lots of vinegar and looks like fresh roadkill! Whatever happened to a simple hamburger?)
Milk. (Yes, milk. To this day, I can't drink the stuff. I can do vanilla milk, and some chocolate milk... but not straight milk. Yuck.)
Cauliflower and Broccoli. Steamed, fried, with cheese, in dishes - no no no!
I told my children I would not make them eat anything I didn't like. Key word: make, I still encourage them to try everything!
There's a lot of stuff I eat that my husband thinks is disgusting
