I was also going to say pork and beef because of the stockyards, but then I realized that they come from other places. They'd have to - otherwise they never could have had Rawhide - Gil and Rowody would've been out of a job!

I was about to challenge your claim to M&M Mars, because their massive chocolate production operation was not too far away from where we lived in NJ. A quick Wiki check proved it did indeed originate in IL.
Hmmm, I guess the state we currently live in can lay claim to Vidalia onions, pecans, Coke and Chick-fil-A.
