I remember having something like that at a fair in Pennsylvania. Except it was a sweet lemon candy stick (or just a sugar stick), so when you sucked it up it tasted like lemonade

I saw those when I was looking for the link to the peppermint lemon thing. They look good, too! Baltimore likes to claim to be the originators of the Lemon Stick and trace it back to 1911 - the first year of the annual Flower Mart. But evidently they go back a little further than that - 18th century London.

Oh, there are so many good ones:

Funnel Cake
Pierogies
Corn Dogs
Sausage & Peppers
Hot Dogs
Hamburgers
French Fries

I guess I would have to say funnel cake since the ONLY time I eat it is at a carnival/festival.

I saw these at our fest for the first time ever this year.

Of course I already know what they are but had never been offered there before. May just take up the German food next year!

Provident Gourmet: Scottish Eggs « Gallimaufree

Ok, I am wrapping my mind around it. Looks good but I have not ever seen that at any fest. Wouldn't mind making it at home.
