As my name alludes to--I am from Alaska--hubby is from Montana but we met in Alaska, he went up there (to AK) in September to visit his Mom, my Dad, friends & other family members. He came home bearing gifts . He packed a cooler home full of halibut, salmon, smoked salmon, and moose meat in various forms (ground, and chuck steak)!! All of this caught in the wild. Now that's about as organic as you get!!!I must confess the halibut was my favorite....that cooler probably had about $300-$400 worth of meat/fish in it Hardly anything is left now....
Hopefully this wasn't too much info but what the heck-it's Saturday morning, I'm sitting here w/ my coffee and have nothing else requiring my attention!
Oh we chowed down on shrimp & crab at Red Lobster today folks! Now before anybody says "that isn't seafood" it is the best we can do in a mid-western state. Tried some wood fire grill shrimp but it made it tough at least to me. Favorite was probably shrimp scampi or coconut shrimp.
Had a nice ceasar salad, baked potato and of course the cheese biscuits. Kids had french fries with their seafood I thought that was strange but different strokes for different folks I suppose. They usually don't order french fries at fast food joints. We were all too stuffed for dessert.
Just got home from El Paso today, so I had to work We had sloppy joes, baked beans (can) and chips...
