Had pork steak in garlic herb marinade.

Had a lemon pepper marinade by the same company--but you know, it really wasn't as appealing as I thought it would be.

We went to my favorite restaurant and had:

Lightly roasted oysters w/ lemon mascarpone, sliced green grapes, and caviar

Foie Gras on a sweet potato gratin w/ a cranberry reduction, caramelized walnuts, and some micro-greens.

Center cut ribeye (rare) thinly sliced over a crispy asiago sourdough bread w/ caramelized onions and red peppers, mushrooms and a rosemary reduction

White chocolate and pistachio creme brulee w/ fresh whipped cream and berries

!!!.....

It was fan-freaking-tastic!!!!!!!!

There is also a recipe in my Good Housekeeping cookbook that involves brown sugar and pineapple. If you'd like that one, I'd be happy to share it!
Thanks! LOL (I said sausage because all I have on hand is smoked kielbasa type sausage! )

I am going over to the recipe section now! Thanks!

Default The Agenda - November 8 - 14

This week in the case abode, I'll be doing grilled mahi mahi with beans and hush puppies, and I'll finally get around to the Frito chili pie that I couldn't get to last week. The fish will need to be thawed overnight. Also on the menu for later are some smoked brats on hot dog buns (toasted and having plenty of yellow mustard), and Salisbury steak with veggies towards the week's end.

Enjoy your week, and bon appetit!

Day off and busy cleaning inside and out after being gone for most of the week...pork chops on the grill, sauteed onions and mushrooms, and thinking cheddar-garlic mashed potatoes and green beans...
