The problem I have with Granny Smith's is they spoil quickly. Actually I dont know if technically they spoil, but they get brown spots quickly. I just bought Granny Smith just a few days ago and it doesn't look appetizing. I dont know if i'll eat it.
I've eaten Granny Smith's before plenty of times, so I can still make a ruling if I dont decide to eat it.
