I'm diabetic, so I have to be careful with fruits, but berries are actually a good fruit for me to have in small quantities. I really wish I could have a banana now and then, but they send my blood sugar sky high.
I like most fruits, but my favorites are fresh pineapple, cherries, and peaches. If the cherries and peaches (and most other fruits) are not fresh, local, and in season, I don't bother. Nothing worse than underripe fruit that has traveled 5000 miles in the dead of winter.

Oh Knott's Berry Farm! I miss you in the old days.

You can't get good, ripe fruits where you are living? That surprises me.
