Got over 30" of new snow outside so I need some meat and potatoes comfort food So tonight will be open face, hot "turkey" sandwiches with (real) mashed potatoes, copious gravy, and asparagus. Buttered bread for mopping

Have two pounds of navy beans soaking overnight to make my grandmother's bean soup tomorrow. It's similar to the U.S. Senate Bean Soup version with potatoes. I don't have a ham bone but use a half cup of Bacos in its place. The result is delicious and transporting, taking me back 50 years

Default Fettucini alfredo

I made fettucini alfredo with diced chicken breast and fresh broccoli and a jar of alfredo sauce, I doctored it up a bit by adding some fresh grated parmesean cheese and a little half and half and about a quarter teaspoon of Bam. Delicious!
