Pie overall. I like crusts. I also prefer fruity or nut-based sweets to ones that are just dense and rich with chocolate or vanilla, which I suppose is more of cake's domain.

They are my ultimate favorite as long as there are no raisins and the inside is gooey but not runny. Ditto for Buttertart squares. MMmm!
This American girl had never heard of this popular Canadian treat.

Everything you listed here is essentially my worst food nightmare.

My sister lives in Vancouver so I'm no stranger to butter tarts. It's just an individual pecan pie. If you like pecan pie, have at it. I make them instead of a pecan pie occasionally.

I also like the Portuguese individual pie called Pasteis de Nata. An egg custard mini pie with puff pastry that has some crunch to it instead of pie crust. Some day, I'm going to see how close I can come with frozen Pepperidge Farm puff pastry sheets and a muffin/cup cake pan. I was just in Lisbon 3 weeks ago and they're everywhere. I'm in a heavily Portuguese area but the ones from the local bakeries aren't as good as in Lisbon.

I would put those in the pie category.

For me it depends on the pie crust. I really like those pie with a graham cracker kind of crust. That would include cheesecake, cherry, my ultimate but I do like those creamy mixed of pumpkin. Coconut creams too.

I like cake too. Some of those sheet layer cakes are so super moist.
It's been years but there used to be a cake and coffee place in the mall. Every once in a while hubby and I used to go for a slice of cake and cappuccino. They would also sell whole cakes which I purchased and brought in to an office party. It's unfortunate that they moved out of the mall before I had a chance to find out where they may have relocated.

Our local grocery store sells single cupcakes. Some have a creamy center. I liked the Black Forest ones but they are so hard to find now.
