Home made pumpkin pie.

A good heavy chocolate cake with chocolate frosting is delicious too but I always feel kind of sick afterwards. And, with the pie, it's something about the crust. You have the delicious pie filling PLUS this dry but yummy crust. Maybe it's the textures but pie is more satisfying. People used to eat pie for breakfast back in the old days when they lived on farms, so there must be something to it.

I love deep, dark, moist, chocolate cake, but also feel a bit sick after eating it. I guess that's "a thing" for some of us. Sorry stomach, but I'm going to eat this.

So, after this talk of cake or pie, you got me really hungry and now I am leaving. Going to be making apple turnovers! So thank you--I have a couple of apples in the kitchen and didn't know what to do with them. Hate raw apples but love apple pie.

Tell me when they're done! I'll be right over.

I have a few apples rolling around in my my produce drawer, so I think I'll make a few turnovers. Thanks for the idea.

I'll go with pie.

Hmm. Reminds me that I have a Marie Calendar Dutch Apple pie in the freezer I need to cook pretty soon.

Oh, I wish I had seen this in time! I made the turnovers but now they're all gone. You could have flown right over! I hope you made some & they turned out great.

I'm 100% a cake girl. Red Velvet with a tangy cream cheese frosting, dark chocolate with fresh whipped cream, vanilla with a not too sweet buttercream, yes please.

Pie just isn't my thing. I like a slice of pumpkin once a year, or apple with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, but other than those, no thanks.

Oddly enough my in-laws are huge pie people and whenever they visit we buy a pie for dessert. I could really take it or leave it.

When I want a sweet pie (well sweet tart), it has to be key lime. I don't mean a lime pie someone is calling a key lime pie.
