Ditto for me, and add pop tarts, greasy fast food, or chain restaurant pizza. All those artificial aromas and flavors make you think you're about to eat the most flavorful and delicious food ever - but it is a huge letdown, especially later, when your system is struggling to figure out what to do with all those foreign ingredients.

Actually, most processed foods make me feel ill since I started preparing everything we eat from scratch and from whole ingredients - after a few months of eating like this, if we slip off the bandwagon and indulge in some no-no, we feel like bloated corpses.

It's kind of a puzzlement when you take a bunch of good, wholesome ingredients and put them together for a result that falls short. Go figure.

Another thing that always sounds better than it is is french fries. Usually, they aren't very good.

I usually all like them when they are crispy on the outside. I forget the names of restaurants that make them, and I'm hesitant to order them where ever cause they are usually sub par.

I'd personally have to say pie. Sometimes it sounds great and then when it comes it may be mushy or the crust is too salty, and it makes me not want to eat it. I don't know.

For me the first pancake starts out good and ends okay.

Otherwise on this topic I have to say coffee: Smells wonderful. Taste? Not so much.

Food I love/like the idea of, better than the food:

1. Soda (all kinds of soda)- I love the taste of it at first, but after a few minutes I don't want to drink it anymore. Leave a blah taste in my mouth which I hate and the cotton mouth feeling too.

2. Anything sweet (donuts, M&M's candy, etc)- I like it some, but then again I don't have much of sweet tooth. And sweets make me nauseous if I have more than a handful (M&M's) or more than 1 (donuts).

3. Hamburgers- I love them, but eat them rarely (the way they make them now, it's like over 700 calories in 1 burger these days!!).

4. Any kind of meat- I love to eat meat, but I do like animals, so I don't eat it as often anymore these days. But it's hard for me to go vegan. I just can't fathom the idea just yet. (I do have a meatless dinner every other day).

Recently I was craving liverwurst - used to love it when I was a kid. My mom and I got some, though, and it didn't live up to our memories at all.

Have to say that I love pancakes - even mediocre ones. Also love all sorts of fries (except if they're too soggy).
