I wholeheartedly agree with Boston Baked Beans and Teaberry gum. There should be a museum for most of this stuff and I'm sure there's one out there somewhere.
I also loved these... Seems my dentist liked em too!
Do you guys remember the commerical they had for Charleston Chews...they showed someone put it in the freezer and then take it out and smack it across the counter and it would break into several peices...
Mary Janes, sen sen, lik-m-aid, sugar daddy, zagnut, zero bars, slo poke, dots, chunky bars, smarties, brach's bridge mix, val-o-milk (each had a cardboard circle listing a state and its capitol....how I learned my capitols of states), milk duds, chuckles, nik-l-nip, bun bars, oh henry, beeman's gum, blackjack gum, clove gum, chiclets, double-bubble gum, bazooka gim.
WOW I always loved candy......the penny candy was super....for three cents we got a whole bag!
I remember that, we had this place up in Massachussetts, it was like a country store and they had a whole room of penny candy...it was like a wonderland to me as a child. I loved to stop there and see what fantastic things they had.
There was this one candy that I loved, I am normally a chocolate person but this was large waffers of sour candy similar to a sweet tart, however they tasted like a banana, a strawberry, green apple, watermelon and orange, the wafer was about the same size around as a peanut butter cup...they were SO good.
Hershey bars, Zero bars, Butterfingers and Sugar Daddys...I think they still make all of these but for some reason they're not nearly as good now. So did the candy change or is it just me?

Funny the things that stick in your mind...
Are you sure it wasn't the Turkish Taffy commercial. Bo-No-Mo oh, oh, oh it's Turkish Taffy!
