I think I am so screwed with this electric....I am thinking since the gas line is out in the alley it is too costly since we are renting, but maybe a gas stove with propane I have a gas burner on my grill... I am kind of surprised that most prefer gas, but maybe that is the choice of people who like to cook

I have electric and I hate it. I would prefer gas, but can't afford to convert, even though it wouldn't be that expensive since I have gas heat already.

I didn't realize how much I liked the gas stove we had in our previous house until we moved into this house that has electric.

Gas cookers , electric ovens. I absolutely loathe electric cookers. It is impossible to achieve the right level of heat and so much harder to control too...

We just moved into a house down in AZ this week. Electric stove... I have cooked on gas for years and am contemplating cooking in the 5th wheel for more complex things due to the control with the gas...sheesh...
When we were looking at homes to buy I would not consider one that was not gas. I have cooked on electric and I hate it. If you do some research, you will find that ALL the "big name" chefs use gas exclusively. It just gives you so much more control of the temperature. Sometimes the most subtle variation makes a huge difference when you are cooking something that requires a very delicate adjustment in temperature.

Gas for me, no exceptions.

When we moved into this house I had a gas line run to the kitchen from the basement (we have gas heat) just so I could have a gas stove. I love it. I would never go back to electric if it were up to me. I would prefer an electric oven I think....right now I just have a gas range. My dream kitchen would have a gas cooktop and electric double wall oven...

I would love a gas cooktop and electric oven.

This house has the electric smooth top and even after 5 years I hate it.

I was the same way, purchased the home with the perfect gas stove and oven...then they decided to put a freeway next to my home. So here we go, purchased a home with ALL electric. Very sad. However the road I live on has gas piped in I just need to bring it into the home talk about $$$
