What do you cook on, do you like it, why or why not...

We just moved into a house down in AZ this week. Electric stove... I have cooked on gas for years and am contemplating cooking in the 5th wheel for more complex things due to the control with the gas...sheesh...

Gas. I live in Arizona as well up near Scottsdale. Many parts do not have gas, at least here in the valley. I am lucky as I live in a newer area and they ran gas lines, probably for all the resorts and stuff lol!

Always preferred gas and find it easier to work with than electric.

Just got back from playing electric in the US and boy did I find it a difficult adjustment!

For the range top, I prefer gas, but I like electric ovens. They seem to have tighter range of temperatures, and heat more evenly. I like gas for the range because it gets hotter (on a good one) and when it is down it is down instantly, when it is high it is high instantly, and when it is off it is off.

Gas for the burners and broiler, but I think I prefer electric for the oven.

Gas so much easier to get the proper pressure when canning too.

My grandmother cooked with wood or gas most of her life then moved to a senior apt when my grandpa died. She was always setting off the smoke alarms & clearing her building because it had an electric stove.
