I eat the Cascadian Farm brand of granola bars. They're a bit on the expensive side but I put them in my purse just in case I get really hungry at work or school.

The hard ones are meant to be dipped in your tea until they soften.

I love the Nature Valley granola bars and our local grocery stores usually have great deals on them. We buy the Oat and Honey, Almond and Peanut Butter versions. The trail mix versions are chewy vs. crunchy, but we prefer the crunchy.

I also recommend the granola bars from Trader Joe's. Its a $1.99 for a six pack. I would say the consistency is medium; it has a chew but without chipping out all of your teeth. I think it uses brown rice syrup.

Dunking the peanut butter ones in milk is the perfect late night snack or desert!

A granola bar is a good example of a snack that people think is healthy. Although granola bars can be a good source of certain vitamins and nutrients, many also contain a great deal of fat, including a particularly harmful type of fat called trans fat. On average, about 35% of the calories in a regular granola bar come from fat. And there can be a lot of sugar in granola cereals and bars. Check the Nutrition Facts label on the package to be sure.

Omg. I love the dadgum NV oat and honey...when they made it into a cereal, I did a dance! Bc I had been crumbling them up and eating them with milk for a long time already.
