There used to be an Italian restaurant in a strip mall north of San Francisco that made a dish of grilled vegetables with pesto that was mouth-wateringly good. I could not go anywhere near the Bay Area without driving north into Mill Valley to get it. Sadly, the restaurant is now closed, but I still dream about that dish.

About 10 years ago I had a very severe bout with pneumonia. I didn't eat for many, many days. Once I started to get better, my husband made a roast turkey. It was the first meal I had been able to enjoy. I don't even really love turkey, but I recall it tasting heavenly.
