Does anyone recognize and know what this fish is called in English?

I love seafood. Crab legs, crab claws, lobster, shrimp, deviled crab, oysters Rockefeller, scallops, fresh caught fish.

I'm not a fan of calamari and I prefer my seafood steamed/baked/grilled/sauteed/blackened over fried.

There is only one restaurant around here that serves this, and it seems to be seasonal: Deep-fried Bay Scallops. They are served with fries and coleslaw, much smaller than regular scallops, about the size of a nickel. We have to drive about 45 minutes but it's well worth it for those delicious little guys. After that, my favorite is deep-fried clams. Fortunately we can get those locally.
