I suffer from having had the experience of working in the food industry, so if it involves ground beef or "cheese sauce" it's not on my list. Salsa has to be fresh made. Eliminates a lot of standard possibilities. If there's some kind of pot stickers or fried ravioli-ish thing I'll often do that. Wings generally work as nobody undercooks those.

Having never been to Spain, which would probably be my ultimate bar food destination, I'll say the best thing I ever ordered at a bar was the fish cheeks in garlic at Thirsty Bear in San Francisco.
