my grandmother made a great ham/dumpling dinner (really fluffly dumplings) and great gravy....
Looked on the internet, but have not found what I am lookin for..

I think this must of been a southern type dish...

Any ideas...for left over ham..

Thanks,
HW

The dumplings are easy, buy virtually any brand of self rising flour and follow the biscuit recipe on the bag. Instead of rolling them out thickly, roll out fairly thin and cut into strips. A country ham is normally boiled, after the ham is removed from the water, while the water is at a full boil slowly add the strips of biscuit dough to the boiling water = dumplings. They cook quickly, drop as many as you can in 20 seconds, let boil for about 45 seconds, scoop out, repeat.
