I use to love them/still do but haven't seen any stores that carry them.

I have not seen licorice ropes recently. Haven't looked, though. But now I'm curious....! I love licorice.

I loved those, too, when I was a kid. Used to tie them in knots then eat'em. I may have to order some for the kids to try, they gotta love'em or they will be grounded!

Licorice is Delicious!!! Just be careful with the black licorice. Some people don't know that TOO much can be bad for your kidneys. No problems with the red licorice. Just don't go overboard and you should be fine! YUMMMM Love it!

Unhappy News, Black Licorice Recalled Over Lead Levels.

Officials are warning consumers against eating black licorice candy produced by a California company because it contains high levels of lead. The California Department of Public Health issued the warning yesterday against 16-ounce bags of Red Vines Black Licorice Twists with the label "Best Before 020413.

This is a downer for licorice lovers. For me, it really doesn't matter, I cannot stand the taste of black licorice.
