I think I was cursed. I'm half-Cuban, and I grew up eating Central and South American dishes. But to be perfectly honest I never much cared for most of them!
However, if I had to pick one food I loved, it would probably be ropa vieja, which was shredded beef in sauce, usually served with what we called moros y cristianos, or black beans and white rice. So good.
My favorite desert would have to be fried ice cream. Not sure how Latino that is, but damn it's delicious.
Now, as for my favorite drink, probably the single greatest thing ever to come out of the Spanish culture aside from maybe the siesta: HORCHATA!

On Bizarre foods,he said the spanish version of Horchata was horrible(Tiger Nut and something else in that version),that it tasted like milk of magnesia.

Hey Cubano, ropa vieja kicks butt. Like my wife kicks my butt when I call her that. My 3/4 blooded chicano latino daughters love moros y cristianos better than the refried beans I raised them on. My wife makes fresh horchata and jamiaca. From rice and hybiscus flowers. None of that powdered stuff.

Yeah the Spainsh invented the drink but Mexican's make it better.

One of the Mexican restaurants around where I go to school serves a mean horchata. I've convinced my friends that we have to hit 'em up at least once a week now!

Cheese enchiladas with a tangy tomato sauce, not creamy. Can make a meal of 4 or 5 of them with rice and iced tea.
