How often do you eat FRESH food? Do you have access to fresh food? Do you care about fresh food?
I'm talk'n homemade, not processed crap or "fresh" McD's.
Just curious.
Kinda hard for us to get too much fresh, very limited. I'm one of those who watchs who and where they stock the fresh vs old. That way I know where to dig. Then again all I usually buy are the fun things, veggies and meat. Wife has to buy the other shtuff.
We eat fresh every day!
I grow most of my own veg/herbs, and try to buy organic if I cant grow it.
We have our own chickens, so we have organic eggs/chicken.
I really try to buy organic meat, we have goats as well, so we have organic goats milk/butter/cheese.
Its a lot of work, but we wanna know where our food comes from, and who grows it.
I try to eat fresh about 80% of the time. Luckily I subscribe to a twice monthly produce group and I get tons of fresh produce that I can build recipes off of. Nothing processed!
I used to eat out 75% of the time, so this is a huge change for me!

MA, I would LOVE to hear more about the produce group. Can you DM me with more info on what the requirements are to join?
I make 2 trips to the grocery store weekly to stock up on fresh foods. I love shopping at farmer's markets and Whole Foods for their local produce. I'm willing to pay a little more for local, organic products.
My husband and I usually eat 1-2 meals out per week, and that is usually a splurge on some good and greasy Mexican food or something. Very rarely fast food.
I also have a very small garden. I grow 4 varieties of peppers, spinach, tomatoes, and have a few herbs (chives, cilantro, and rosemary).
I would LOVE to have a huge property with a huge garden and chickens and goats running around. That is my someday dream.
Living in California's Central Valley I'm in the middle of the fresh central. From produce to dairy to meat to fish. Anything you could imagine. Even with all the financial and societal problems this state has we really are blessed.

I pretty much *never* buy anything packaged or pre-prepared. I live by myself and really enjoy cooking.. Lucky me, in the SoCal it's easy to eat fresh all the time
I make my own soups, stews and sauces in 10 quart batches from fresh ingredients. I do lots of stir-fry from fresh stuff as well.
I also grow chile peppers, lemons, limes, peaches, figs, plums, avocados, olallieberries, 2 varieties of grapes and 4 varieties of oranges.
