My husband ask me, and I have never seen them.

I've only had them from Sonic and a couple other fast food places. Come to think of it I don't see many footlong buns, either.

Other places use 2 weiners and 2 buns. Maybe a bakery or specialty shop?

CostCo produces their own and sell them at the delli and on the rack. They were selling the dogs with the pizza counter when the company who they bought from went under, so CostCo bought them up to continue. I think they are only 10" thou, 1/4 pound dogs.

Thanks! I have never seen them here either, and I just told him to put two hot dogs together and put them on a bigger bun!
Everytime we have a cookout, he asks me about this, and I keep telling him,"I have never seen them!"

Some of the grocery stores around here sell Hatfied and Sabrett foot-long dogs. I may have seen Nathan's as well.

Hebrew National makes some...well, they may not be 1 foot long but certainly longer than the regular ones. I don't think anyone really makes an actual foot-long hot dog but I think the HNs are about 8 or 9 inches at least. Much longer than the regular hot dogs and nicely fill an extra long hot dog bun. And they're really good.

I'm not sure what they're actually called but I think they're the "1/4 pound" Hebrew Nationals. We serve them at my job so I can check next time I'm there. They sell them at Costco. and Sams I know, but probably Walmart as well.

They are widely available in most places. Buns to down here. I so well remember foot long chili dogs in the 60's from A&W with mugs of frosted root beer.
