If cookies, ice cream and similar items are considered a "heavy" dessert, then everyday.

I typically reserve 100-150 calories for sweets like dessert and I don't drink soda or other sugary items. Typical desserts our family enjoys after dinner would include:

- Crème brûlée (104 calories)
- Pudding or yogurt with fresh berries (150 calories)
- Snackwells devils food cake cookies (100 calories)
- Ice cream (made some last night) with a banana (125 calories)
- Blueberry crisp / Apple Crisp

Cake is my absolute favorite food. We often have one of those large slices of carrot cake from the grocery store in our fridge and will have some while watching TV in the evening. But DH and I will share it and we can get that one slice to last for 3 days.

There is a diner down the street that I have been making dessert runs to the last couple months. They make great MILKSHAKES!! They also have a nice bakery.

We also eat alot of fresh fruit (it is MANGO season). I sit and carve up a couple Ataulfos. Wife and pups love to munch on them.

I don't eat sweets that often, but I did just make an apple strudel in a 12" dutch oven on coals. It was made with fresh apples and very light on the sugar and cream, so I wouldn't call it 'heavy'. Had a piece with a cup of coffee for breakfast, as a matter of fact!

I've never had much of a sweet tooth, so really don't have dessert that often (unless I'm PMSing, in which case all bets are off). Maybe cookies now and then, especially Italian sesame seed cookies, but usually just some fresh fruit.

Based on the OP's definition of "heavy desserts," then currently every day as I have 2 Girl Scout cookies and a Lindor truffle for dessert every night. But beyond that, I go in phases.

Happy Birthday! I love Cheesecake Factory and am considering that splurge over Memorial Day weekend. Luckily for me, the one closest to my house is about 45 minutes away otherwise I'd probably live there.

I always have pie. Pie is like a food group to me.
