Looks like a successful start to another season of that U of M gridiron greatness! Last week the fighting ground burrowing rodents routed Tennessee 24 - 17 and the score wasn't that close.

This week, the fearsome University of Southern Dakota Coyotes come in to the venerable and hallowed Twin City Federal Bank Stadium for what will likely be a hard-fought battle but the rodents should prevail.

The following game should see the dirt-eating-rats run their winning streak to 3 games and into BCS contention when a similarly named college; the University of Southern California Trojans (tee, hee, hee) pays a visit for their regular Uff-da beating.

On to another Rose Bowl for That University of Minnesota!!! Who's with me...?!!!

I really do think the Gophers will beat USC. The sanctions have finished off the Trojans.

The worst effects of sanctions really haven't even hit USC yet. They are still really loaded. Maybe in three years they'll be hurting a lot more, but now, they will be still super competitive with most teams. Besides, SC's third team has more talent than the Gophers. Sorry, no way does Minnesota get the upset.

Do any of those teams have a guy who can pass?

That 2nd string qb from Middle Tennessee State riddled the Gopher's secondary as if they were a weak high school team.

My --hope--for the Gophers is they avoid ending the season in the cellar of the Big Ten.
Even that may be expecting too much.

The thing is, USC doesn't care. Why should they? They have nothing to play for this season. Minnesota has something to play for.

I don't think it will really matter. USC will still win. If anyone really thinks SC will not show up this year and continue to be a good program, you're delusional. Besides, the Gophers need to focus on S. Dakota before woorrying about the big boys.
