The center break light will not light, the bulb is good and all other lights work. The manual does not state where the fuse is. Does anyone know where the fuse is located?

You really need a service manual (cost about 15 dollars) for any car you have. I would get a test light and check all of the fuses to see if any were blown. Then start at the light and be sure the circuit is open,Check for a loose ground wire.

Your brake fuse is #15, 10a. fuse located behind the passenger kick panel( in the smart junction box)

Did you check the obvious to see if the bulb burned out? Check the bulb connector for 12v when the pedal is depressed, and check for a bad contact or socket overheating. Check also to make sure the wiring from the deck lid has a good ground. After that then I would look at the brake light switch where there is likely a separate circuit coming off it going to that light only.

Default 05 Mustang

Thank you Native Chief and Frankgn87. I found the problem, a wire came off at a terminal in the trunk under the liner RR fender well.
