As your buyer's agent, your agent is not going to be communicating with the bank directly.
And most good REO agents aren't buyer's agents themselves.
I thought my original question was very clear. But yes, I understand that a buyer's agent customarily deals with a selling agent who then sometimes deals with an asset manager. And the asset manager then deals with possibly another layer or two before getting to the actual seller (bank). I was asking if there are agents that have the ability to deal with the bank directly bypassing the middle layers.

It's very difficult to do that. The banks don't want to be contacted directly. That's why they have those layers. I can't answer your question because I wouldn't know how to get one of them. Some are more effective because they understand the system better.
I'm a wholesaler in the market and have recently started digging into REO's. I've had similar experiences with middle layers as many banks do not want the direct contact.
That's also why many banks/lenders add another layer in the middle by hiring asset management companies. The listing agent often doesn't deal with the bank but rather the asset manager.
