I'm looking at a HUD home that listed about a month ago. The asking price is $30K. It needs about $20K-$30K in repair by doing the work ourselves. The structure is block and seems sound. (I'd get it inspected) It needs rennovation inside. (Paint, tile, kitchen and bathroom) How much do you think I could negotiate with HUD and is it possible to get the price lowered significantly b/c of all the repairs? The tax value is $57K. It was built in 1959.
