I am sure there is more than 1 lawsuit against BofA.

Why would it help get a loan for a property with them?

To get a mortgage you just need to qualify for a program they offer.

It seems to me that OP already has a loan with BOA and wants to know if the lawsuit will affect his current mortgage.

Probably not. The banks are getting sued for failing to follow specific process for foreclosures. But if you aren't paying your mortgage, sooner or later they will foreclose. If the lawsuits do anything, it will make sure the banks set up and follow better processes.
