I have qualified for a good loan. USDA Guaranteed loan. BUT I am having a very hard time finding a property that I can have some chickens, ducks and maybe a goat on. The places that are available are not zoned for small animals. I am looking in Citrus County FL. Wouldn't you think there would be some rural property out there so I could have these animals? They WILL NOT finance a mobile, manufactured home. It HAS to be a Modular. Well, crap....OH, or it can be a house but forget that. Everyone in our category is going manufactured or mobile. Can anyone help with some answers so I can find my dream farm. Thanks

You can get a conventional or FHA for a manufactured home loan with the land included. Has to be built after 1976, and it cannot be a used one moved onto the site for FHA. Has to be existing or a new manufactured home.

As to not allowing goats, etc, I think you are over-thinking the issue. There is a difference between having a few chickens and raising chickens commercially.

I just looked up chicken laws in Citrus County Florida, and I think it may vary by city. Local Chicken Laws & Ordinances (and how to change them) is a great place to start looking up the laws. Where I live now (in WA) chickens are allowed, and there is a formula on how many you can have by lot size, but no roosters. However, our HOA does not allow them, so we are looking to move outside city limits. Maybe have your realtor focus on areas outside the city?
