I think we had one that took 9 months with Fannie Mae. It needed a new roof and there were all these liens on the property that took a while to get cleared.

In a case like that do you have to pay the daily fee for going past closing date

Wow, hopefully our HomePath purchase goes faster than this! I feel for you OP, just our 6 weeks from offer to close is bad enough, 4 weeks left now.
