Does anyone know if the aspens have turned completely golden yellow there?

My husband and I were at Eldorado Canyon state park yesterday and the trees are starting to turn but they're not completely there yet. We want to know if any parts of the Front Range are fully turned yet.

Greenhorn Mnt is no RMNP or Estes Park, but it has it's share of Aspen.

The peak is only about 12,340 so it's not a fourteener but you can see some turning at about the 10,000 elevation. There are a lot of scrub oak that turns red here too.

According to the Boulder Daily Camera, this weekend is supposed to be "prime".

We ended up going to Estes Park and RMNP today. The aspens are starting to turn but not completely. Some are all yellow, some are still green. I'll try to post some pics later when I get them uploaded.

I saw on the news last night that it is close to prime. They say next week it should be in full swing.

Aspens were in great color this Wednesday in the Cripple Creek area. This weekend is the peak according the Forest Service.

Entire state fall color forecasts are at: USDA Forest Service, Rocky Mountain Region - 2007 Fall Colors

Hey, thanks for that link, Mike! We want to take a little drive, but our time is limited, so this is very helpful.

Aspens last weekend were SPECTACULAR on the top of Kenosha Pass (highway 285 past Bailey). With the sun shining, it was almost blinding. I think this weekend should also be good, but then it will be all gone. Pittnurse, if you are looking for a drive close to Denver, this one would be easy to do.

We're heading out today for Cripple Creek, so good to hear that the leaves are good up there.
